Caring for your soap

Soap care guide

A little care keeps a handmade bar at its best. These tips are consistent with the existing product care text and apply to bar soaps; liquid soaps simply need a pump and warm water.

Dry between uses

Let your bar rest on a draining dish and dry out between washes. A bar that sits in water turns soft and melts away faster.

Keep it away from direct water

Store the bar outside the direct shower stream when you're not using it. Standing water is a handmade bar's biggest enemy.

Store somewhere cool

Keep unused bars in a cool, dry place. Heat and humidity can affect scent and texture over time.

No fixed lifespan

How long a bar lasts depends on how it's used and stored, so we don't promise a set number of weeks. Good care simply extends it.

Handmade variation

Because each bar is made by hand, small differences in color, scent, and weight are normal and part of what makes handmade soap special — not a flaw.
